Prince Andrew of Greece, father of the current Duke of Edinburgh, pictured at Cannes in the company of Margot Hambling, David Townsend and Gilbert Beale, whose yacht was in Cannes Harbour. After his separation from his wife, Princess Alice, Prince Andrew spent the last years of his life on the French Riviera. He died at the Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo in 1944.
