An advertisement for Princes Hotel, Grand Avenue, Hove facing the sea opposite the famous Hove Lawns, the favourite promenade of King Edward VII. The advert claims the hotel has the finest position in Brighton. During the First World War, when holidays in the fashionable resorts of Northern France were impossible, Brighton attracted members of society. It was also popular with convalescent soldiers.
