Portrait of Princess Helen of Greece, Crown Princess of Romania (1896-1982) together with her son, Prince Michael of Romania. The daughter of King Constantine of the Hellenes and Queen Sophie, and granddaughter of Vicky, Princess Royal and Empress of Prussia, she married Prince Carol of Romania and was the mother of King Michael of Romania. Helen's proactive involvement in the anti-Semitic movement during World War II ensured she was involved in saving thousands of lives. Pictured here wearing a fashionable diamond tiara or headdress and a long string of pearls.
