Description | Princess Henry of Pless in fancy dress |
Details |
Daisy, Princess Henry of Pless (1873 - 1943), formerly Mary Theresa Olivia Cornwallis-West. A great Edwardian society beauty, she married one of Imperial Germany's wealthiest princes in 1891. Her memoirs are an insightful record of the Edwardian era. Her son became Hans Heinrich XVII, 4th Prince of Pless (1900 - 1984). Pictured here in costume for a fancy dress ball given by Mrs Adair which most of smart society attended, Daisy is dressed as 'Idyllic'.
