Seperate photographs of Viscount Lascelles and his fiance HRH Princess Mary on the front cover of the Sketch after the announcement of their betrothal. The Sketch emphasises that this was a love-match and describes Lascelles as a 'commoner' although he inherited a number of estates and a large fortune from his grand uncle the Marquess of Clanricarde.
