Photograph showing members of the National Antarctic Expedition of 1901-4 deflating an hydrogen balloon, with the Polar Research Ship 'Discovery' in the background, Antarctic, 4th February 1902. This was the end of the very first balloon flight, to a height of 750 feet, undertaken in the Antarctic.
