Queen Charlotte (1744 - 1818), Queen of Great Britain and Ireland and wife of George III. Originally Charlotte Sophia, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, she married George III in 1761 shortly after his accession to the throne, bearing him fifteen children during a long and successful marriage.
