Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by her Maids of Honour alights from the golden State Coach on arriving at Westminster Abbey for her Coronation in June 1953. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh awaits her. The bouquet she carried included orchids, stephanotis and carnations from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and, by tradition, was presented to her by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.
