Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain (1887 - 1969). Formerly Princess Ena of Battenberg, she was the daughter of Princess Beatrice and granddaughter of Queen Victoria. She married King Alfonso XIII of Spain in 1906 and had six children. The couple began to lead separate lives and eventually separated when the Royal family were forced into exile in 1931 with the proclamation of the Spanish Republic. Ena is the grandmother of the current King Juan Carlos of Spain.
