Details

The Royal procession of Queen Victoria in Smithfield, passing the Metropolitan Meat Market. The Queen's visit to the City of London was for the purpose of opening the new bridge over the Thames at Blackfriars, and the new viaduct over the Fleet Valley from Holborn Hill to Newgate Street, known as the Holborn Viaduct.
