Description Railway accident at Rednal, Shropshire
Details

A railway accident near Rednal Station in Shropshire, on the Shrewsbury & Chester line of the Great Western Railway, when an excursion train from Birkenhead did not see a flag warning that men were working ahead. The brakes were applied on sight of the men, and the train derailed and turned over. Eleven passengers and two train crew were killed.
