Raising the great equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington, at the time the largest equestrian statue in Britain, to the summit of Green Park Arch (also known as Wellington Arch or Constitution Arch) at Hyde Park Corner. A vast timber support is used to hoist the statue, expertly carried out by a body of riggers from Woolwich Dockyard, assisted by a number of labourers.
