The Red Cross in Japan: women's care for the wounded during the Russo-Japanese war. A working party of the Red Cross Society. Women of the aristocracy making lint and bandages at the house of Princess Komatsu. The Japanese Red Cross Society was under the direct patronage of the Empress, and included among its most active members the women of the foremost families in the Empire.
