Large crowd looking at the Rembrandt painting, 'The Mill', at the National Gallery, London. At that time the painting was to be sold by Lord Lansdowne, either to the British nation for ú95,000 or to a private collector for ú100,000. Showing one of policemen (top right) required to control the large crowds who wanted to view the painting.
