Robert Burns statue by Flaxman (centre) surrounded by two scenes from his life and another portrait. Robert Burns (1759-1796) was the Scottish poet and songwriter who created 'Auld Lang Syne' and popularized Tam O'Shanter and the Bridge of Doon.
