Commander Robert E. Peary (1856 - 1920), Arctic explorer, on the bridge of the 'Roosevelt'. Peary is seen in the fur clothing he used during his expedition to the North Pole. Peary, his assistant Matthew Henson, and the Inuit, Oatah, Egingwah, Ookeah and Seegloo claimed to have reached the North Pole on 6th April 1909.
