Details	Front cover of the Illustrated London News, 15th May 1948 showing Princess Elizabeth (future Queen Elizabeth II) opening the 'Health of the People' exhibition at Marble Arch, London. Godfrey the mechanical robot, which closed its eye to say goodbye to the Princess after apologising for not being able to bow. Godfrey, the mechanical man included a pump for lungs, test tubes for the pancreas, and a camera system for eyesight.
