Sir David Eccles, Minister of Works, holding the newly-found head of Mithras, during his visit to the site at Walbrook in the City of London where the Temple of Mithras was discovered in 1954. Mr W.F. Grimes (right) director of the excavations was at this time director of the Museum of London.
