Details

Act V, Scene IV of a Henry Irving production of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' at the Lyceum Theatre, London. Friar Laurence descends the staircase into the Tomb of the Capulets to discover the bodies of Romeo and Paris, and Juliet, still in a temporary coma from which she is about to awake. Henry Irving appeared in the role of Romeo, with Ellen Terry as Juliet.
