Description Royal Family wave off Queen Mother at Waterloo

Prince Charles and Princess Anne, together with their mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother from the platform of Waterloo Station. The Queen Mother was embarking on the first stage of her journey to New York. From there she boarded the liner, Queen Elizabeth, at Southampton for the Trans-Atlantic voyage where should would visit America and Canada during a three week stay.
