Eyewitness account of the noble work of the Royal Medical Corps, succouring a disabled crew near Combles. 'A battery of our Field Howitzers, which was pushed up to cover our offensive near Combles, came under a heavy and accurate fire, and one of the guns was disabled by H. E shell, which burst just in front of it, the fragments blowing off half the shield, smashing the near wheel and damaging the buffer, besides killing or wounding the whole detachment'.
