Details

The royal procession leaving St Paul's Cathedral, London, returning to Buckingham Palace after the service of dedication and official opening of the Festival of Britain. In the open carriage are King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. Crowds line the road along both sides of Ludgate Hill, all the way down to Ludgate Circus and beyond. A few people can be seen on the left, standing on the roof of an office building.
