Scenes from the procession and review of women war workers in honour of the Silver Wedding Anniversary of King George V and Queen Mary in July 1918. On the left, are photographs of various corps who took part including munition workers, the Wrens, V.A.D. nurses, the women's legion, post office mail van drivers, tramway conductors and policewomen. The procession of 3000 women made its way to Buckingham where it assembled for the review in which the King made a speech praising their efforts. On the right is Queen Mary, who was President of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps and Princess Mary who trained and worked as a V.A.D. nurse during the war.
