The wedding gown of Princess Alice of Albany who married Prince Alexander of Teck in 1904. Made from soft, flexible satin mouselline, the skirt, supplemented with a very long train, is festooned with white chiffon roses, needlework foliage and Louis Seize velvet bows studded with diamonds. The dress also includes a chenille fringe; frills, poufs and flutings of white chiffon and a satin bodice and small chiffon sleeves and bouillons of tulle sewn with brilliants round the decolletage. A small cluster of orange blossom is worn and the veil of Honiton lace was worn by both Queen Victoria and Queen Alexandra at their respective weddings.
