Eight sketches showing Tatler's pic of the most outstanding fashions at the wedding of Princess Elizabeth to Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten at Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947. From left, Countess Mountbatten in a very smart bolero dress by Molyneux, Lady Mary Herbert in brown and silver spotted lame by Bianca Mosca, the Marchioness of Linlithgow in a black velvet suit and hat by Hartnell, Lady Fermony in Bianca Mosca's deep red wine velvet dress, the Countess of Bessborough in a black, wool suit by Hartnell, the Countess of Haddington in a dress by Angela Delanghe, Lady Braebourne in a Molyneux dress of emerald green velvet with matching bolero and finally, the Marchioness of Carisbrooke in a velvet Hartnell dress.
