The scene at Westminster after the marriage of Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh at the Abbey on 20 November 1947. The glass coach is seen leaving the scarlet and gold entrance at the Great West Door of the Abbey, and as it turns into Parliament Square a cavalry escort is waiting to fall in behind. At this moment the bells of Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret's were pealing forth the announcement that the ceremony was over, and all along the route to the Palace vast expectant crowds were waiting.
