Description	Royal Wedding 1947 - Westminster Abbey
Details	Drawing showing the magnificent interior of Westminster Abbey during the marriage of Princess Elizabeth to Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten on 20 November 1947. It was made at the moment when the bride and bridegroom were kneeling at the High Altar steps and receiving the last words of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The view looks towards the rose window of the South Transept and picks out members of the royal family as well as the bridesmaids.
