Cortachy Castle, six miles from Kirriemuir and the Ogilvy family seat, where Princess Alexandra of Kent and her husband Angus Ogilvy spent part of their honeymoon following their marriage at Westminster Abbey on 24 April 1963. They went first to Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate.
