R. H. Guest, rugby player for Waterloo and England, preparing to throw in during the County Championships between Lancashire and Eastern Counties. The match was described by Louis T. Stanley, sports critic in The Sketch as 'the dullest match of the year'. Apparently the man next to him read a book and the woman in front was absorbed in her knitting!
