A page from The Illustrated London News, reporting on a film about Sun-Lin, the little Giant Panda cub, the first of her kind to be shown alive to British cinema audiences. This rare cub(named Sun-Lin in this article, but also known as Su Lin), was brought back from the mountain wilds of Szechwan on the Tibetan border to New York in person by the intrepid Manhattan socialite Ruth Harkness(Mrs. William Harness Jnr)(1900-1947).
