Advertisement for Samuel Brothers Ltd of Ludgate Hill, London, suggesting number of practical 'comforts' to be sent as gifts to soldiers in the trenches. 'A box of nice, woolly comforts will be much more welcome to him in the cold, muddy life of the trenches, than a box of 'goodies'.' Among the suggestions are balaclavas, gloves and a new trench coat.
