Details

Samuel Orton, a native Londoner, was charged with forging two Letters of Attorney, under the name of Captain Bishop, in order to obtain ú1000 from the Bank of England. He was the clerk of the Court of Requests in the Borough of Southwark, and is shown committing forgery at his desk. He was executed on the 14th of January,1767~~
