The auditorium and stage of the 'Cotton Blossom', as Captain Andy's show boat is called in the musical, Show Boat. Howett Worster and Edith Day playing the third act of the 'Parson's Bride' to the mixed company of black and white, of the levee town of Natchez. Show Boat was originally written by Edna Ferber and adapted by Oscar Hammerstein as a stage musical with the black actor, Paul Robeson starring as Joe.
