A page of The Illustrated London News reporting on victory for Scotland over England at Twickenham in the annual Calcutta Cup match, part of the Home Nations Rugby Union tournament. Scotland won 21 - 16, their first victory at Twickenham since 1926, and having also beaten Ireland and Wales, secured the Triple Crown.~~The top picture shows R.C.S.Dick touching down to score Scotland's third try. The lower picture shows the opening try of the match, scored by W.N.Renwick of Scotland. The inset picture shows King George VI and Queen Elizabeth watching the match.
