St. John's Mission district sewing classes held at American Rice Mills, Berner Street, Commericial Road, East London. Women paid twopence an hour or ninepence by Rev J. M Vaughan connections with the Central Executive Relief Committee at Mansion House. Only widows or women with husbands who are out of work were invited to the working party.
