SIR THOMAS BOOR CROSBY (1830 - 1916), House surgeon at St Thomas's Hospital and the first medical man to hold the position of Lord Mayor of London, as well as the oldest (at the time) being 81 years old, holding office between 1911 and 1912. Instigated a trust which raised funds for the survivors and relatives of the Titanic disaster. Knighted in 1906. Caption: 'His Lordship of London MD'
