Sir Thomas Brock (1847 - 1922), British sculptor best known for designing and sculpting the Queen Victoria Memorial Statue which now stands in front of the entrance of Buckingham Palace in London. Brock was born in Worcester in 1847 and became a pupil of the late J. H. Foley R.A. on whose death in 1874 he completed the O'Connell Monument in Dublin. He became an A.R.A in 1883 and an R.A. in 1891 and was commissioned to execute the Victoria memorial in 1901. His other works include the equestrian statue of the Black Prince at Leeds and the bust of Longfellow in Westminster Abbey.
