Cover of The Sketch magazine featuring Countess Haugwitz-Reventlow, formerly Miss Barbara Hutton (1912-76). Hutton, the Woolworth's heiress, dubbed, 'poor little rich girl' by the press was a socialite and philanthropist. Reventlow was the second of her seven husbands, and during her marriage to him in the 1930s, suffered verbal and physical abuse.
