A stalwart British corporal pictured with two German captives in a photograph which deliberately highlights the difference in stature of the men. The Sphere calls them, 'exceedingly poor specimens of humanity.' The young soldier on the left of the picture is holding some bread which, 'is probably none too common among the advancing Germans.'
