Advertisement IN The Sphere magazine FOR The Sphere magazine, declaring it had the finest war artists in Signor (Fortunino) Matania and Christopher Clark, as well as the finest map and diagram artists, by whose aid you may trace the whole course of the war. The copy goes on to warn readers, "You will be sorry in years to come if you do not subscribe to The Sphere. Your children's children will thank you if you do, for they will value its incomparable record of great happenings in which their ancestors played at home and abroad so heroic a part." Considering we at Mary Evans are as fascinated today by the wartime issues of The Sphere, their words have some resonance!
