The Coffin of the late King George V, brought to Westminister Hall on the morning of 28 January 1936, began its funeral procession through the streets of London to Paddington Station and so to Windsor. Photograph showing Queen Mary standing beneath the canopy, the bearing party furnished by King's company of th Grenadier Guards is seen carrying the coffin out into New Palace yard.
