Stephen Donoghue (1884 - 1945), English flat race jockey who won the Epsom Derby six times. Pictured in The Tatler after heading up the winning list for the fourth year in succession on his horse, Gay Crusader. Donoghue was classed as unfit for military service during the First World War but nevertheless rode two Derby winners in 1915 and 1917. Inset is a picture of his son, Paddy, or Pat, who had a brief racing career.
