Mr H Thorrington is the inventor of 'this astonishing Machine, possessing such wonderful action, that many tons of weight may be conveyed without the help of steam or animal power...admittance to the Garden is One Shilling each Person, entitling the parties to ride round the gardens in the William the Fourth, Royal Car, or on the Hobby Horse.'
