Kaiser Wilhelm II arriving at Potsdam for the annual swearing in of new army recruits. In this case, it is to the regiment of Lifeguards, who have the distinction of wearing a peculiar head dress which takes the form of a metal base not unlike a crown from the centre of which rises the distinctive cap and tuft.
