Sylvia Raven-Hill, daughter of the Punch artist Leonard Raven-Hill and his wife Annie. The portrait appeared in The Illustrated London News in February 1912 when Sylvia was appearing on stage at Daly's Theatre. The caption adds that Sylvia was, 'educated at Roedean, near Brighton, and has studied dancing and singing in Paris. She believes every girl should have a profession."
