Description	Tatler cover, Death of Lord Kitchener, WW1
Details	Tatler front cover announcing the death of Lord Kitchener of Khartoum. Horatio Herbert Kitchener, 1st Earl of Khartoum and Broome (1850-1916), British soldier and stateman. After a successful career in the Sudan, South Africa and India, he was appointed field marshal and Secretary for War on 7 August 1914, and recruited a great army (the 'Kitchener armies') for World War I before he was lost with HMS Hampshire (which hit a German mine off Orkney) on 5 June 1916.
