Front cover of The Tatler magazine's Christmas number, featuring the Tatler himself, familiar in tricorn hat and frock coat. The image was created as a cloth-cut, a modern technique invented by the artist Joan Jordan, derived from thirteenth-century appliqué work (see picture no. 11067906 for a photograph of the artist at work on the cover).
