The territorial changes in Poland through five centuries from 1569 to 1939. Four maps show how the country has been partitioned. 1. After the Union of Lublin, 2. during the years 1772 to 1793 when Poland was forced to cede large portions of territory to Russian, Prussia and Austria, 3. In 1815, Poland was completely dismembered and divided between Russia, Prussia and Austria and 4. by 1921, the major portion of Poland's original territory was restored by the Versailles Treaty of 1921.
