Description The 1934 Test Match at Lords: Verity wins the game
Details

Verity winning the match for England, sending down a ball to Woodfall, the Australian captain. On the third day of the second test match, Verity broke all records by taking fourteen Australian wickets between eleven o'clock and six, thus bringing about England's first victory at Lords since 1896, by an innings and 38 runs. Ames is behind the wicket, Geary at the first slip, Sutcliffe at second and Hammond at third.
