Page from The Tatler reporting on the last presentations of debutantes to the Queen at Buckingham Palace in the Season of 1958. Court presentations, which had been a highlight of the social calendar since the 18th century, were dispensed with by Buckingham Palace, part of a modernisation drive. On this page are featured photographs of some of the girls who attended the last of the Presentation parties - Dominie Riley-Smith, Teresa Hayter, Jane Mander,Belinda Buckhill, Belinda Hewitt, Caroline Thompson Hancock, Jane Durant.
